- Upside down
- Reverse the build. A Caramel Macchiato upside down goes shots first, like a latte.
- Wet / Dry
- Wet means more steamed milk and less foam. Dry means more foam. “Bone dry” is almost all foam.
- Ristretto
- A shorter pull with less water. Sweeter and less bitter. Standard in the Flat White and Cortado.
- Long shot
- A longer pull with more water. Thinner and more bitter.
- Blonde
- Lighter-roast espresso, smoother and brighter. Swap it into any espresso drink.
- Extra hot / Kids temp
- Steam milk to about 180°F, or to about 130°F for kids temp. Standard is about 160°F.
- Lines
- The fill marks on cold cups. Recipes say “to the first line” rather than giving ounces.
- Light ice / Extra ice
- Less or more ice. The other liquids fill the difference.
- No water
- For Refreshers and iced tea: fill with more base instead of water.
- Vanilla sweet cream
- Heavy cream, 2% milk and vanilla syrup, mixed in-store. Floated on cold brew.
- Cold foam
- Sweet cream frothed cold into a thick topping for cold drinks.
- Protein Cold Foam
- Added in 2025. Comes plain or flavored, such as vanilla, sugar-free vanilla, chocolate, matcha, salted caramel, banana and brown sugar.
- Protein-boosted milk
- Used in Protein Lattes. Roughly 27–36 g of protein in a Grande.
- Affogato-style
- A shot poured over the top of a finished Frappuccino.
- Half-caf
- Half the shots regular, half decaf.
- Trenta
- 30 oz, iced only. Offered for iced coffee, cold brew, iced tea and Refreshers.
